What to Expect

At St. Paul’s Rock Creek, you’ll discover a community both historic and alive with possibility. Our worship is rooted in the beauty of the Episcopal tradition and open to the Spirit’s leading today. Whether you are seeking quiet reflection, stirring music, or ap lace to belong, you will be received with warmth and grace.

Sunday Worship

8:00 AM | Quiet Eucharist
A spoken, contemplative service following Rite II from the Book of Common Prayer. This service offers stillness, Scripture, a brief homily, and the sacrament of Holy Communion.

10:30 AM | Choral Eucharist
Our principal Sunday service blends the beauty of liturgy with rich choral music, meaningful preaching, and the Eucharist at its heart. Following Rite II, the liturgy invites the whole congregation into sacred song, shared prayer, and weekly renewal.

All are welcome to receive Communion.

We recognize Christ in the breaking of the bread and in diversity of those who gather around it.

Music in Worship

Music is central to worship at St. Paul’s. Anchored by our gifted choir and led by Jeremy Sullivan, our music ministry draws from the Anglican tradition, African American spirituals, and contemporary works. At the 10:30 service, we are blessed by the artistry of jazz pianist Janelle Gill, whose playing supports the choir and lifts the congregation’s song with beauty and depth.

Through voice and organ, piano and silence, music deepens our shared experience of God’s presence. Want to know more —or even add your voice? Visit our Music page to learn how to get involved.

Worship with Children and Families

Children are cherished at St. Paul’s. On Sundays at 10:00, most children join our nursery or Sunday School in the Atrium, then return to their families to share in Communion. Parents are always welcome to keep children with them in church —whatever feels best for your family.

To help little ones feel at home, we provide:

-Worship bags with soft toys, finger puppets, Squishmallows, and more
-Space in the pews for children who need to move
-Communion for children of all ages, as families feel ready

Holy noise, gentle wiggles, and spontaneous joy are part of our life together at God’s table.
