New Rector Announcement
Senior Warden’s Announcement to the Congregation
Grace and peace to you all.
With great joy and excitement, I write to introduce our new Rector, Reverend Cynthia Ann McKenna, who has been called to lead our congregation. This marks the beginning of an inspiring new chapter in the life of our church as a body of Christians and the surrounding community.
After a thorough and prayerful search, the Vestry is confident that Reverend McKenna is the right person to guide us in the next phases of our spiritual journey. She comes to us with nearly 27 years of experience, exceptional educational and training in theology, liturgy, congregational development, transformational leadership, and counseling.

New Cemetery Website Features
Lush landscape, breathtaking sculptures and notable history combine to make Rock Creek Cemetery the most beautiful and evocative public cemetery in the nation’s capital.
Dating from 1719, the Cemetery is also Washington’s oldest cemetery and was designed as part of the rural cemetery movement first advocated by the architect Sir Christopher Wren in 1711. The burial ground in the churchyard’s urban space, with its natural 86-acre rolling landscape, functions as both cemetery and public park. This, the Cemetery’s famous residents, and stunning variety of sculptures and monuments make Rock Creek Cemetery a place of pilgrimage for people of all faiths.
