Bible Study

A long-standing St. Paul’s tradition, our clergy-led Bible study group meets after the 8:00 a.m. service at St. Paul’s Center. Members engage in exploration of the Bible and lively theological discussions. Open to all!

New Members Classes

Periodically, we hold special classes on consecutive Sundays to help acquaint newcomers to our church. We cover a wide variety of topics, all in keeping with our mission statements. Information is shared about the opportunities to serve in worship, to engage in fellowship and corporate life together, to grow as disciples of Jesus, and explore opportunities for service. Conducted by members of the clergy, these classes provide an opportunity to ask questions, meet others who are new, and identify ways in which you can best use your gifts and talents.

Confirmation/ Inquirers’ Classes

Scheduled twice a year, these classes are open to those persons who are interested in learning more about the Episcopal Church, especially those seeking confirmation, reception into the Episcopal Church from another denomination, or those desiring to reaffirm their Baptismal Covenant.

Children and Youth

Children and youth are a priority at St. Paul’s Rock Creek and are welcomed at every worship service. During the program year (from early September through the first week in June), we offer Sunday School for children aged five and up from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. in the lower level of St. Paul’s Center. Children and youth are then escorted to the church and returned to the parents during the peace and in time for Eucharist.

In addition, we offer nursery care each Sunday from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers ages 1 to 4 year olds. It is located on the lower level of St. Paul’s Center. It is staffed by a trained and caring employee who has met all the child safety caregiver guidelines. Nursery care is also available for various special events and services.
