Episcopal Diocese of Washington (EDOW)

St. Paul’s is part of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, which includes 89 congregations in Washington and four Maryland counties (Charles, St. Mary’s, Prince George’s and Montgomery). The diocese is led by a bishop who serves as the chief pastor of all churches in the diocese. Our current bishop is the Rt. Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde, consecrated in November 2011.

The Episcopal Church (TEC)

The Episcopal Diocese of Washington is one of 109 dioceses, primarily in the United States, that make up the Episcopal Church, which is headquartered in New York City. The Episcopal Church is led by the presiding bishop, who typically serves for nine years. The current presiding bishop and primate is The Most Rev. Michael B. Curry, installed on November 2015.
